The Indian Catholic Group was launched in August 2019 with the primary goal of “Catholics helping Catholics”.
Our ultimate aim is to keep our Catholic community well connected and engaged with each other. ICG will provide a platform that will help us to reach out and help one another. Together we can make a difference to our own – the time is right!
This website will be your one stop shop for activities in the community including celebrations, businesses run by our community, upcoming events planned by the ICGNZ, our Kiwindo publication and more. We also encourage you to send in your feedback, comments on what you would like to see or how you can help us bring our vision to life. Your support is vital to making this venture a success.
As part of this vision, we are launching a publication aimed at the Indian Catholic diaspora in New Zealand. This is being aptly called “Kiwindo”. We envision it will form a key window, a key insight into the lives and experiences of our Indian Catholics who have made their home here in beautiful Aotearoa.
Kiwindo contains articles on various topics of interest– be it youth topics, finance, professions, food, celebrations, travel, arts and culture articles and the like. The content will be a good mix of articles, interviews, videos, photographs and also advertisements of local interest. Our ultimate goal is to keep this community, that we are proud to call our own, well connected and engaged with each other. Together we can form a powerful platform to jettison us into our future.
